Collin College ADN SPRING 2018

Published

I am hoping to be part of the Collin College Spring 2018 Nursing Class and I want to start a new thread where other potential students can communicate with one another. I am taking Micro this summer and plan on submitting my nursing application by the August deadline. I will be taking my PSB exam at the end of July.

Collin no longer gives potential students access to the point system used to rank students. Does anyone know what a competitive PSB score is?

I have a 3.75 for my co-requisites and I am hoping to maintain my 4.0 in my pre-requisites. Can anyone offer any insight on PSB scores?

Thanks in advance!

Maria

@dsimone9696 go to the collin nursing website for the latest update on information sessions

@jphillip85

Thanks for the insight. Good luck, I hope you make it into the Fall 2017 program!

Thank you I hope so too!

Also for the reading comprehension, read the questions then look for the answers in the text!

Hello, everyone!! I'll be applying to the spring 2018 program, as well. I took all of my prereqs at Collin but am applying to their program as a backup, lol. I'm taking the PSB in a couple weeks and was wondering if it's a test you can study for or if studying doesn't really help? I haven't done much research into the PSB like I have for other entrance exams. Anyway, I'll be applying with a 4.0 science GPA and 4.0 supporting courses GPA. I wish us all the best of luck in our nursing endeavors!!

I am applying for Spring 2018, currently I have not taken my PSB but scheduled to take in July. I am currently taking micro and hope to get an A in that course if I do my stats will be

Sciences: 3.66666

other courses: 3.5

I already have an Associates of Science through Collin so I hope they look at that lol. Will keep this site updated with my PSB score once I get them.

Is there anyone on here applying with their Micro "in progress"? I am enrolled for Micro in the fall, just wondering if anyone else is applying this way.

Just because your micro is in progress doesn't mean your SOL!

:) good luck!

Thank you! I have a 4.0 in everything so far, and I take the PSB in July. I am also a veteran Army Combat Medic, so I am hoping when they consider all of these factors I can get accepted for Spring without completing Micro.

nvm, it wont let me shoot you a pm, but id say you I'm pretty confident you would make it in!

Anyone have any tips for the PSB? Is it an exam that can even be studied for?

I will be applying for spring 2018. I applied for fall 2017 and was waitlisted. I am going to retake the PSB before I apply for spring 2018.
