Collin College ADN program Fall 2022

Published

Hi, I know it’s kinda early but I wanted to start a string for those applying to Collin college ADN/RN program in the Fall of 2022. I just want to know where I fall points wise and competitive wise to others who are also applying this coming Fall.

Just got rejection email, good luck to everyone who got in and don't take it for granted when the stress hits!

Did anyone also applied for LVN as 2nd option?

Yes, I did. Anyone that has over 18 pts that didn’t get in? Did anyone applied to other schools aside from Collin that has the same requirements(TEAS test, no Chemistry etc)

I had over 18 points. I was denied. I'm applying to other programs in the area. I have a 3.9 GPA

Can anyone suggest me ! Should I register A&P2 together with Micro ?

It’s really up to your discretion. They are two different sciences, so for some people they well in one, but not the other.

I took A&P 2 along with micro in the same semester. If you are good with keeping on top of things as well as constant studying, you will be OK. It was challenging, but possible.

I personally wouldn’t unless you have  no other choice but to do them at the same time. I found  both to be very time consuming to study. I persally did that in 2020 and I also did chem 1 with them and it was the worst thing I ever did. On paper it seems fine but the last thing you want to do is put yourself in the position to either do really well in one and not the other or do bad in both because of the work load. It’s definitely doable if you have the right priorities and mindset but the last thing you want to do is get to the middle of the semester and be burnt out and unable to keep up.
