  1. Hi. So depending on what area you tend to struggle in, I used YouTube videos and I now use nurse hub for various topics. I was extremely worried about the math section and I really studied for that and scored a 95. Particularly, Brandon craft for the TEAS math and blossom with Jessica were helpful. If you just search TEAS prep for whatever subject into YouTube you will find many videos. It was repetition and studying and then quizing myself. I hope this helps. good luck! ?
  2. Emails with orientation and other details came in collin emails!!

  8. Hello! I am new to this forum and an aspiring RN. I am currently finishing up my credits at Collin college and am due to begin the undergraduate nursing program (first phase) at UTA in the fall. I recently read some disturbing reviews online regarding UTA and now am questioning my decision to go there. I realize sometimes people can write negative reviews due to other personal reasons. There were multiple complaints however. So my questions are for those that have actually had experience there or graduated from the program itself. An example of one complaint was that you could attend and complete most of your prerequisites there and have a 4.0 GPA, and they will still waitlist you for a great length of time and choose someone else who has a lower GPA, yet works at a partner hospital in entry level position. And simply bc of their employment with that hospital, they will be accepted first. How important is it really to become employed at one of their partner hospitals to get accepted into the upper division portion of the program? The reason that I ask is bc most positions available that I can see for these types of positions are 40 hours a week, which could be quite challenging to balance with school and family obligations. I currently am able to stay home and focus primarily on school and my children. I also read some other complaints about disorganization and not feeling supported through the process. This was pertaining to the online rn to bsn bridge program and the AO bsn program. The accelerated online is the one I will be applying for after my prerequisites are completed through UTA. (If i decide to continue with this plan.) Has anyone had success or positive experiences there? Or should I start looking for another program? I realize they are all competitive. What can I do to increase my odds of getting in? And is it neccessary to get a random job at a hospital to get accepted into a program? Thank you in advance. I was hoping to get some feedback since I dont know anyone personally who has attended their program. One last thing.....I am in the north texas area.
