Hi everyone, didn't see a page yet for this application group so thought I'd make one! Very excited that we are getting close to the application process. I have one pre req left I'm taking this fall. I'm also studying for the TEAS currently and planning on taking my first try on 7/23.

Nevermind! I got in I had to search for the email. Woo!
Sooo, I know we just got the results in today but what does the next step seem to be? I know we have a bunch of stuff to get figured out... They gave us the orientation date to June 2 which is kinda late, and I really don't want this whole thing to spread over the entirety of my Summer LOL.
Anyone have any ideas on how this process might go by?

I really need to know as well. It is my understand for certain items they have a very strict turnaround time such as drug testing. From this weekend until end of June I will be traveling all over the country and out of the country even. I just so happen to be in town on June 2nd for orientation thank GOD. My biggest fear is being out of the country and receiving the items we need to do and being told it needs to be done in x amount of time but not being able to turn it around it time for them. I'm not worried if I'm in a different state as there are med quests and so forth near me; but I will be in South America and the jungle and I highly doubt there will be a med quest near by hahaha.
so if anybody knows how quickly they usually have us start these items such as immunizations, drug tests, CPR, etc that would be fantastic to let us know. Thank you!!

Me too! I will be out of state in Cali for the whole thing before August and I really don't think ill be able to catch up with deadlines during my vacation. South America is so cool tho! have a blast out there!
So at least for the CPR certificate, I know you can just go on the AHA's website and purchase the Basic Life Support classes (BLS) and finish the initial online training, then go to a skills provider and complete your BLS to get your certificate. It took me like 3 days to get it over with, but if you're passionate enough I bet you can even finish the online class overnight and take the skills provider education the morning after. So its not that difficult.
I also have all of the Immunizations except for my flu shot that they have mentioned in the Clinicals Immunization Checklist- I just don't know if my dosages are complete. I attached the Checklist they have listed on the Collin College ADN website here as well for anyone's convenience.

Wow! You are the best! Thank you so much. I hope you have an amazing time on your travels as well and thank you so much again ❤️
Hey guys! I was hoping to form a study group for nursing school. I don't know if we'll all be in the same classes (I don't understand yet how many of the cohort will be in which classes when) but I think it would be awesome to have a set time each week to get together and teach each other the materials. I did that in Micro and it was super helpful. Any takers?

OMG totally ! I was going to propose this too but someone beat me to it I guess ^^ I'd love to be a part of it since the best way I learn things is when I teach it/listen to it from someone in a highly interactive way. I passed A&P II the same way.
