Any thoughts on the area is it safe? I am looking into a job at a hospital that is a level 2 in college town.. not sure of the name anyone have any opinons?

I lived in College Station for four years while I got my undergrad, and I LOVED every minute of it! It's a wonderful place to live and even a wonderful place to raise a family. If the hubby and I could get decent jobs there, I would move in a heartbeat.

And, yes, it's pretty safe there, too.

I live in College Station. It's a great place to raise kids - it's safe, with lots of parks and extra curriculars to keep kids busy.

Both hospitals are good.

The College Station school district is wonderful (much better than Bryan, in my opinion).

Private message me for more information - I can give you a detailed run down of the hospitals here.

I love it here.

Don't know if you have kids or not, but my godfather has two children in CSISD and they're very satisfied with it. One of their children is a special needs child, and the school district has really done a good job with him. And I agree that CSISD is much better than BISD.

Gig 'em!

I also live in College Station and I have to say ditto on everything already posted. It is a great place to live! The majority of the crime here is alcohol related. There is also a bit of vehicular burglery and petty theft. Not much on the bloody violent side. If you want more info about it just ask!

Definitely a great place to live! I lived in Bryan for 22 years and went to Bryan ISD. Education is great there since it is so close to the University, so the only difference would be whether you prefer living around mostly students or not. Lived in College Station also during my college years, and no complaints either. I would say College Station Med would be your best bet for jobs, but St. Joseph's Hospital is available in Bryan. Good luck! I live in Dallas now and would trade the atmosphere in a second if my husband could find a decent paying job in his field there. I plan to retire there eventually which is why I am going into nursing!

Do you remember which hospital it was? It is either the College Station Medical Center or St. Joseph't Regional Health Center. Also, what department were you interested in?
