Hello future nurses,
Just wanted to start a thread for Fall 2023 College of the Sequoias nursing applicants. Good luck to everyone applying. Fingers crossed for us all ?

No CNA license or clinical experience, was 1 class away from a BS ? so no degree, 3.0 GPA, 71 on TEAS. Don't feel very hopeful but hey ima shoot my shot anyways and pray and hope for the best. I have a lot of small kids so this option seems the most fitting. Wishing you all the best ❤️
No sponsorships of any kind. Does that give you preference or do they pay for your school or what does that even mean. Never heard of that
Hi! Thank you for sharing. Honestly, when people least expect they will get into a program they sometimes do. I wish you the best of luck as well! I'm sure if both of us are just shooting our shot then there's a couple more others with high doubts LOL.
I believe this will be the first Kaweah collaboration with COS. So, some seats in the program are dedicated to Kaweah health employees only. If Kaweah chooses to sponsor you they help with tuition, books, & working around your schedule.

Ohh okay I see. That's pretty cool though for the ones who got sponsored

I figured this was my best shot as well, the traditional ADN is super competitive.
I was told it begins the end of May. I'm assuming right after this Spring semester ends.
Thank you for the reply. That's very soon but I'm excited. Just like others, this schedule works so much better for my family. Good luck to all of us!!

Thank you! I didn't notice or wasn't sure what that was. I just looked at the application page and do see that box on the top right corner. Does anyone know the application dates for that program? Are the requirements and points the same as the Traditional ADN program?

From my understanding application cycle and the application itself is the same as the traditional program but just check the different box. That's what I did anyways ?. Deadline is today

The poor front office lady is going to get sick of hearing from me, but I got us some hopefully helpful info!! She said the last cohort's points for acceptance ranged from 71.8 to 88. She also gave me the number to call to make sure e-transcripts arrived at the school, but that department didn't answer and hasn't called me back. Has anyone had luck getting a hold of them to double check? I'd drive my *** the hour it takes me to get there, but I'm pretty sure I currently have pneumonia.
You can also check parchment and it will show you if it was sent to the school and when

Was that for the traditional program or the all year round one

Were those points for Traditional RN program?
Thanks! And yeah, they were for the traditional ADN route
