I am new to this forum. I have received the acceptance letter from CSM nursing program last week, and I was wondering if I could get some advice/information about the program. Any alumni or current students in the program?

hey there! i got my acceptance letter a couple of weeks as well. I'm still waiting for the results of san francisco state, though, coz that's my first choice. if i don't get in there, i will go to csm.

Hi Kayellow,

Have you heard anything back from San Francisco State? Are you applying for their regular BSN program?

Hi Kayellow,

Hi Pochacco1211,

Yes, I got accepted at SF state (the regular BSN program), so I'm not going to CSM anymore. I'm starting in spring 2010 (80 students got admitted, 40 of which start in fall 2009 and the other 40 in the spring--randomly assigned). So I'm going to be doing segment III (upper division general education requirements for graduation) on fall 2009 while waiting. How about you, did you apply too? Have you heard from them yet? :D

Congratulations! I applied for their Sequoia Hospital / SFSU nursing program because I was not eligible for their regular BSN program. I have not yet received their official acceptance letter but when I called their nursing department, a very nice lady told me that I got accepted. If this is true, I will not go to CSM as well. I didn't know anything about the segment III upper division GE requirements for graduation until I saw someone who is a current nursing student there advised. So did you talk to any advisor at SFSU about classes which you will be taking? Have you done with the JEPET test? How was it?

I haven't talked to a counselor yet. I don't even know what the JEPET test is (haha). I'm actually a transfer student from Skyline, and I'm still going to attend the new transfer student orientation in July :)

The JEPET test is a writing proficiency exam. If you pass it, you don't have to take another English (upper division) course. Since I haven't received their letter yet, I don't really know my next step. hahaha... Anyway, congrat again and best of luck!

Oh ok, haha. Good luck to you too!

Hi,

I applied to CSM, and I'm still waiting on the results. It's VERY stressing. :uhoh3: But I was wondering how many times did you applied to CSM before you got in? Thanks!
