College of New Rochelle Spring 2016

Published

Just got in the second degree program individualized track for spring 2016. Anyone else?

I am looking into applying for the CNR Individualized track for Fall 2016. I was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips and thoughts on what I should know when applying for the program.

Their website tells you everything you need to know about their program. Just hoping this isn't a waste....their pass rate hasn't been the best. Just read that you need to pass their version of the nclex or you don't graduate. Which is ridiculous. Let's see...

Good day,

I start my clinical phase at CNR in the Spring also! I hope all is well! XXOXOOXOOXO

I started this semester so yes I am a new student. I don't start my actual nursing courses and clinicals until next month. How about you?!

I'm a new student as well. But I start my semester this January. How do you like the school? Any issues? I'm yet to make up my mind if I want to go to Cnr.

I actually like the school so far.......the professors seem to be passionate about what they teach and also seem to care about their students. I will say that the other faculty is disorganized which is extremely frustrating. Are you doing the accelerated or non traditional track?!

I'm glad to hear that. I have orientation on Monday let's see what I learn. I'm in the individualized track. You are right about them being unorganized. I had to call several times to get the ball rolling on getting into the school to getting this orientation/registration appointment. Hopefully I can decide soon on what to do.

As long as you are on your p's and q's you should be fine. What are your other options?! Keep me posted with your decision!

I also got accepted to Monte. I choose CNR because it is a BSN program as opposed to an ADN. A lot of the hospitals require a BSN now so instead of searching for a RN to BSN program after graduation, I decided to just go for it. Just some food for thought when you make your decision.
