This thread is for anyone who is applying to College of Marin’s Fall 2023 Nursing Program

Second time applying to schools for me! Definitely starting to feel the nervousness as we get into May. Hopefully we will hear something soon! I emailed the department a few days ago and they said they were still counting points but hopefully we would know soon. Let's all cross our fingers for good news!
This is so exciting but stressful at the same time. I am wishing you the best of luck! This is my first time applying to this school. I know the website says they start sending out acceptance letters in mid May (NEXT WEEK!!) ? and I believe they start with the highest points first so we all just have to wait now.
Where can I find the email of who to contact?
Hi it's crazy that we're getting closer and closer to finding out if we got in!! I was wondering if anybody had reached out to figure out whether their points matched? I think that's what's keeping me a bit anxious. I did calculate my points but I just want to make sure they're correct. Not sure if I should email them about it since acceptances come out next week.
Hey guys,
So the email I contacted was the one on the front page of the nursing site, I believe it's [email protected]? Anyways, I actually contacted them because I was nervous about my points being counted as well and wanted to make sure I could verify my score. Enrollment services actually counts the points, so the program doesn't have that information yet. But they're hoping they can let everyone know soon. I'm sure all will be fine! Glad to know I'm not alone with that fear. Last year I was worried about that and I ended up getting the exact score I thought I would so, I'm sure it'll be the same this round ?
Hi! I am currently in the program. Our first round acceptances weren't sent out until end of May. I was in the second batch and I believe I got mine the second or third week of June. I had 78 points. I know someone that had 70 points and she was not a last minute add, so not sure where they stopped point wise. Last year they had over 400 applicants for 40 spots so it took a quite a bit of time to sift through them all. I don't know any particulars about this cycle. There are folks in the program that got a phone call Friday night and school started on Monday. People decline for so many reasons so there are spots opening up continuously. I know the waiting is excruciating and I wish I had magic words that would assuage your anxiety but I do not! Breathe and practice patience, as a nursing student and nurse, you are going to need it! You guys worked hard to get here, be proud of that. Get your house clean, organize your life and spend time w loved ones. The program takes a lot of time and energy, but it's worth it! Sending positive thoughts out into the universe for you guys!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out. I appreciate the encouragement and kind words! I definitely needed to hear this today.
I am currently also a first year !
DEEP BREATHS! Take care of yourselves! And don't try to do too much getting ahead over the Summer. (I know I was guilty of it!). If you REALLY feel the need to stay busy, I'd say just practice or get acquainted with dosage calculations (there's tons of resources online). But other then that your time is better spent relaxing and enjoying your time off. The program is very supportive of the students and they will not just throw you into the deep end.
We will be here in the fall to help you guys get acquainted with the program and what not. ?
Best of luck to everyone!
