Any applicants out there for COM Fall 2012?

CEnglish- Yeah, it's a great semester to apply. Thank you for telling us about orientation. I am super excited. I wonder what the scrubs look like and how many books we need. Lmp410- good luck on your teas!!! It isn't a very difficult test, in my opinion. When I talked to them, they said they had 44 due to some dropping. She also told me they are still hoping for the full 70 students, so we will see. They said letters usually go out 2-3 weeks after the application deadline.

I heard the scrubs for RN is red and LVN is yellow.

Yeah, I've heard the same. If that's true, thankfully we didn't get yellow. I wonder if they have a patch and if we have to get them embroidered.. (Hopefully not).

Hey I just made an account and got really excited when I seen this. I too was planning on applying for the spring because I would most likely have over 150 pts, but after reading these comments I'm considering to apply for the falll 2012. I applied for fall 2012 at navarro college in corsicana and I made it to the alternate list. I dont have time for games with Navarro college and I really dont want to go back to that school. I think over all I have a total of 76 points but this is due to the fact that I am retaking 2 sciennce courses and navarro college didnt require as most of the pre reqs as com. Do you think I have any chance? I made an 88 on my teas score and I was wondering if I show them my trascript that shows I repeating 2 science courses in the summer that I'm pretty sure I will make a b to the least in will I have any chance?

and to add: I dont have many of the prereqs for com but I have take eng1, college algebra, musi, gen psychology, human lifespan psch, public speaking, and made a's in everything but micro which I got a C, A&P 1 and 2 I got a D :(( but I am retaking both at hcc and will be done 7/27. Do you think they'll give me a chance even though my points are low and my science course are not that good even though they say they do have a lot of space?

one last thing lol I also will be taking eng2 and nutri this summer too online if I show them my trascript that shows that its IP will that help any?

Hey! They don't really take the classes you are still taking into consideration, as far as I know. They only go based off of what you have by the application deadline. I do, however, think you'll have a good chance of getting in anyway. This seems to be a semester with a significantly low amount of applicants!

Thanks I'm just gonna apply it wouldnt hurt!

moochie4025 - I think with the amount of applicants they have received, 76 points still has a very good chance. The only problem is the orientation packet says that a student may have no more than (1) D or F in the required science courses. You might want to call in and ask if the D's you made in A&P 1 and 2 will affect your chances of getting in.

Oh! I thought it was just A&P 2 that was failed. Yeah, you're right. I'd check with the nursing department.

Does COM care about your overall TEAS score? I have my test tomorrow and I'm scared about the science portion. If I fail the science portion, will that affect my chances of getting in at all or do they only care about the reading?
