Is anybody taking HA this Summer? Im trying to register to take Patho, Phed, and Med Term this Summer and im getting a late start so hopefully im able to. Hope you all are enjoying this summer break cause the deadline is fast approaching!

Hi Everyone!

Im new to this tread and just wanted to intoduce myself. I just finished the application process today with 133 points! Im super excited and cant wait to start the program.

I was accepted for the Spring 2012 semester but didn't meet the immunizations deadline bc I received a negative titer for chickenpox and had to receive the vaccine. The chickenpox vaccine is a 2 SHOT SERIES that must be take 4 WEEKS APART!!! So if you are unsure if you have ever had the chickenpox do not wait to have you blood work done last minute. That was a very dissapointing experience and just wanted to share that advice incase it could save someone else from having to deal with it. :-)

I was also accepted to the spring 2012 program but had a family issue and turned down my offer. I am so excited to get started. Did you go to orientation and all that? I'd love to hear about that! Did you hear about the mishap and how they only have about 50 applicants this semester? I started my immunizations at the end of April. I am getting my titer, TB skin test and last set of chicken pox vaccinations may 28th and I'll be clear with all my vaccinations once the results come in (hopefully).

They have 44 applicants as of a week ago. They have some pulling out their apps because of ACC sending out acceptance and she's expecting the same when San jac sends out theirs. They have to fill 70 spots.

I did not go to orientation. I have a trip planned the end of july and asked when orientation would be for us... Its August 2nd!!! Something to look forward too :-)

Only 44 apps... Wow thats crazy low. Good for all of us though, we picked a good semester to apply! When I applied last semster I was very nervous because my points were only 99. One semester of classes really helped that though. We should all get in this semester if the number of apps stays on our side.

Hello everyone! I'll also be applying for this Fall at COM. I currently have 97 points and will be taking the TEAS this Thursday! I'm so nervous! I studied out of the ATI study guide and hope it has prepared me well for the reading portion. I spoke to the nursing department about 2 weeks ago and they said they had 50 something applicants, but she said she was not sure about how many students they were going to accept anymore. Does anyone know when we will find out if we are accepted? Have they given a date yet on when acceptance letters will be sent out?
