Any applicants out there for COM Fall 2012?

Where is the Teas taken and will COM accept a previous Teas test or will it have to be taken at the school?

Welcome! And no COM doesn't accept psych stats.

Hello, yes COM will accept TEAS from a different testing center. The scores just can't be more than a year old.

thank you! I have no clue where to begin trying to get into the program so any info is gladly apprecited!

Well, do you have any specific questions? I will give you a general run down and try to explain everything. 1)Start by completing the orientation quiz. Here is the link: ADN Orientation Quiz 2) Take the TEAS. Sign up to take it and here is the website https://www.atitesting.com/Home.aspxYou get the scores as soon as you are done so bring all your transcripts and set up an appointment to meet with the counselor. 3) Meet with the nursing advisor and finish an Educational Devlopment Plan 4) Fill out the application with the nursing department.5) Start getting your vaccinations up to date!

Feel free to ask me any questions.

thanks thats just what i needed! i took the teas elsewhere and made a 73.89 on the reading portion but i have no clue how it works at COM

I'm glad I helped. I am pretty sure that a 73 is passing... it only gives you 2 points on the point scale though. I'd defientely do the quiz, get your transcripts and meet with the advisor! They don't have many applicants for this semester, so that's good for all of us! This is the point scale, incase you had not found it yet. They said the lowest score to get in last semester was a 91. The fall before that was a 103-104.http://www.com.edu/degrees-programs/nursing-program/docs/Pre-Nursining-Orientation.pdf

I put in my application today and im so excited! All my immunizations are done now i just have to wait to see i get accepted! Hopefully they let me take HA in the summer! Anybody knows how that works? Good luck everyone! My points are at around 110 because i dont have PHED, MED TERM, PATHO, or HA! I will be completing them in the summer(HA if they allow me).

They offer health assessment in the summer. You go to the nursing department, fill out a form to take the class and they put you on a list, when a spot opens up they call you tell you how to enroll in the class. I'd def take patho! All the BSN programs require patho now! Good luck!! I hope we all get in.

I'm applying. Haven't calculated my points yet but I took TEAS, but I still have a few classes not complete. Med Term, Ha, and patho.

is patho part of their program??

@GMorgan, I'm not sure but I haven't seen it where it shows all the courses needed to be taken, but it's on the sheet where you calculate your points. I just assumed that it was.
