College of the Mainland ADN Fall 2018

Hello, just wanted to create a thread for everyone applying to COM's Fall 2018 ADN program. I stop by the school today and met with a Nursing Advisor, we went over the requirements needed (more like a one on one orientation). The link to apply to the program just showed up on my WebAdvisor. Good luck everyone

Does anyone know when they r updating our app site/ letting us know on admittance? And also does anyone know what average scores/points have been in the past for admittance?

This is the first semester they are using a completely new application/point system. The past #'s will not apply for this semester.

I think a few days after the deadline, it'll be updated. As for the point system the max points one can get is 480. E.g if you have a 4.0 GPA, that equals 400, for the sciences( Ap1,Ap2 and Micro) A=20, B=15, Master degree=20, Bachelor's =15, Associate=10 Healthcare related certifications=5.. that's how they arrive at 480 or under. Hope this helps

Hey guys I'm also trying to get into the program this fall! I'm have major anxiety I have also have a 4.0 So I guess my points add up to 460. When I talked to the advisor she informed me that this semester is extremely competitive and she said all A's is not a guarantee so I'm freaking out cause I don't have any additional points!

You would get in, 460 is pretty high. Goodluck!!! Got accepted into Alvin today. Nt waiting on COM anymore, if I'm accepted, I would decline..

AdyBelleCongrats I heard Alvin was pretty competitive! I didn't get to apply to multiple school I put my eggs in one basket. I took AP 2 and Micro at same time this spring semester just to get accepted for fall admission so I'm praying I get in

hello guys the waiting game is about to start. I have a quick question can someone tell me my score. I still dont know how to calculate that. I had A in micro, A&p1, A&P2. and Psycho. And a B in English. I also had the associates in Arts degree. And is anyone know the cutt off points for this. I really hope we all get in wish youll good luck

I thought they weren't using the point system anyone?

That is what I was told in March, maybe there is now a point system. I was told it was their first semester to use this application process. No point system like the past, It would be a automated system that determined acceptances.

aj123456you would have a 458 in points that's including your associates

kheleyes it a point system it is still computer generated but the point system changed from previous semester
