Hello
i just applied to COC RN program for spring 2017 and am seeing if anyone else has also! I have also applied for moorpark and thinking about applying to Glendale as well. Should I be studying for the TEAS? I don't have a high GPA in bio (all Cs...) do I even have a chance of being accepted??
thanks for any replies
What a great place to be to have to make a choice! I don't have any experience with Pierce's nursing school but I did take most of my undergrad classes there and always liked it. Jojo gave excellent suggestions to think about. Did you attend an orinetation for both schools?
I had the opportunity to meet the 1st semester professors and they were all so nice. They geniunely want their students to be successful. The office staff is also top notch. They are so organized and on point. I don't think I would be that organized...well I better learn to be lol!
Best of luck to you in your decisions!
Thank you 3alanizmonkeys! I applied to 7 different schools, hoping to get into one for Spring 2017. Now, I feel lucky to be able to choose. I am still waiting for LAVC. It is my "home" school and my first choice. I am going to go to orientation at Pierce. Jojo gave me great ideas to compare the schools. In addition, I appreciate your input. Good luck to you!
since you're already in the program, you probably dont need to do the assessment test anymore :)
thanks :) I'm in the process of completing requirements.. I'm not used to doing all these things :| are you currently in the program or getting in the program? have you seen the counselor yet? :)

Me too!! Still in the process of getting things done but I am sooo excited :) I have been accepted for coc spring 2017 :) not yet, but I made an appointment with Julie Jacobson on the 23rd. If you wanted to see a counselor try to make an appt with her, she's the best! :)
have you guys completed the paperwork for the physical exam yet? is it really necessary to have the dates for our immunizations? i had the doctor check my titers but don't have exact dates for my vaccinations
Yes i think you need dates for them, and i think we need to turn in actual results too. i think. because some vaccinations, for example titers, they want it within 5 years. So im pretty sure we have to put dates

I'm excited and nervous at the same time!! :) did you call or set it up online for the appointment?
Do you really think we need our vaccination records from when we were kids?? I have my mom looking for mine, but I don't know if she will find it. It is 30+ years old! I am not sure it will be legible ha! Isn't the titers enough? I am thinking I will have to get the vaccines again
mine are over 30 years too and it's overseas í ½í¸¬ Hopefully the titers will be enough as I'm immune to everything anyway

Thank you so much, 12_jojo. You gave me great suggestions. I really liked COC, especially after the orientation. I am not familiar with Pierce, so I am going to look at a side-by-side of both schools to make a decision. Again, thank you. I appreciate your input.
