Hi everyone! I am starting this thread for anyone that will be applying to the COC spring 2015 semester!
I am so nervous to start applying, and so excited at the same time!
I am curious as to what every ones GPA is that will be applying?
I got the email. I'm ineligible because I did not include my high school diploma attachment in the application. Which raises the questions why did it accept my application if it was incomplete, and why did it take to so long for me to find out about this. Oh well. My fault for not carefully reading I guess. Weird how that's required considering I've been going to that school for years.Anyways I replied to the email with a pdf of my HS diploma and it should be fixed since there is a grievance period lasting 'till the 3rd of October.
Time to keep studying for the test!
Are they still going to accept it? I know they are really picky about following the rules when applying; I know someone that was denied for putting the wrong email. Did they tell you when you will get a reply?
I don't mind at all, it is at 8 am. I too have seen that they are good about working with you. Keeping my fingers crossed. I think the questions in the book are easier to understand meaning not as confusing. When I was using the book, I was testing great (85+), but when I switched to the online tests, my overall score dropped to low 70s. That freaked me out.
How was your test?

Unfortunately I don't find out my results until next week. Hopefully Tuesday. I feel like it went good, and don't feel like I missed out on studying. I did have a lot on my mind yesterday morning, as my uncle is in a hospice home and took a turn for the worst the night before. Nothing on the test caught me off guard. I did however run across a few people that didn't study at all!!!!! They were the same ones whining in the bathroom about not knowing anything on the test.
Ohno:/ I hope everything is OK now! Was everything on the test in the book?

That seems like a real BS reason to make someone wait a whole year just because a wrong email was inserted. Give me a break!

It does sound ridiculous, but at the same time it makes sense...a lot of nursing is "attention to detail", so I can see why they would make someone wait because of an error due to lack of attention to detail. I do know people that have applied this semester where the error has occured on the schools side of it, and I think those people should still be eligible.
Judging a student's chance of success by harshly punishing blunders on their application? Sounds very reasonable.
I'm not even sure why you need proof of a diploma. That's ridiculous.
I was out of town and truthfully applied through my phone. Still not sure why it would even go trough if mandatory parts were missing.

As far as my uncle goes, he is not well, but that was to be expected... I just didn't expect that he would take such a drastic turn so quickly. It has really made me think about going into hospice care... so much so that I am applying to volunteer at the home after he passes.
But for the test... Everthing and then some was in the book. I was very pleased with what was on the test vs what was in the book. All I can really say is study study study. The online exams are definitely harder than the actual test. Questions are worded a little easier to understand on the actual exam. Not necessarily easier, but easier to determine what they were asking... I hope that makes sense.
I also received an email saying that I did not attach my HS diploma, however I know for sure that I did. I have no idea how to prove it though, so I am not sure what to do
I would call and talk to them, if it's an error on the schools side they will give you a date to test if everything else checks out.

That's still a good score for the TEAS!! I am going for the generic RN program, not the bridge. Did you find the test to be hard?
