College of the Canyons (COC) ADN Fall 2021

Published

Hello everyone!
I have not seen a forum for COC's Fall 2021 ADN program, so I decided to make one for all applicants to ask questions, share stats, and talk about anything relating to the application process.

Multi-criteria screening points: https://www.canyons.edu/_resources/documents/academics/nursing/MULTICRITERIASCREENING101916.pdf

I believe I calculated 76 points.. I don't feel like this is as competitive, but I believe it is worth a shot.

Good luck to everyone applying!

Anyone on here applying for the LVN-RN bridge program? I see our orientation is 4/29. Hoping letters will get sent out not long after everyone takes their TEAS

Nope. ADN program. Good luck! I hope we all hear soon!

Hi slopez091! I applied for the lvn to RN program.  Goodluck to us.. ?

Just got done taking the TEAS Exam at COC. I am really hoping that my results are good and it gives me the edge to get into the program this Fall. Anyone know what a competitive score for COC application process is?

Last year the score to have for the TEAS was 85+

Does anyone know when we will officially find out?

When I submitted my TEAS score I got an email saying we would find out in late April so I’m assuming next week?

The proctor told us today at COC that we will have acceptance letters by April 30th.

Was that the bare minimum score or was that a "shoe-in" score?

That was the minimum number for accepted applicants. Others got higher.

Oh, does the TEAS not get added to the rest of your score? You’re GPA ect.

I didn’t realise there was a minimum TEAS score ?. Nervous!

It’s all about the points. But these applicants are getting straight A’s, high TEAS, certified and have work experience. High points- shoe in. In my opinion. I’m hoping for the chance in by way of the random drawing. A few qualified applicants get in that way.

Oh I see.  Do you know what the minimum total points that was accepted last semester? What kind of total scores get through?

?? Good luck ??
