Did you get admitted?  Congrats!  Look in the orientation files.  They list nurs 061, 212, 215. I imagine taking extra classes would be stressful?  Bit seems really beneficial.

I did! Thank you!!

I know the extra courses are usually supposed to be very helpful!

Second time applying and got rejected again.

Im losing faith in my nursing dream. Just want to cry haha.

Like how many times do I try before I give up? Don’t want to waste any more time.

I tried looking for them on the registration and sections tab and couldn’t find those courses. ?

Don’t worry I feel the same way. I’m almost 28. I have a bachelors degree in English so I’m late to the party. I applied to 6 schools for fall 2020 and got all rejections. I applied to the same amount this time around for Spring and so far I’ve received 3 rejections and have heard nothing positive yet. It’s rough and it’s hard to stay motivated. Just know you’re not alone.

Don't lose faith just yet. I have a friend who tried for 2 years before getting accepted into a program. I wasn't accepted either this time around for coc and waiting on to hear back from another school. It only takes one yes. Have you tried applying to lottery based programs? If I don't get in to one next semester, I will try again with the lottery based ones. Don't give up! There are many different routes to achieve this dream. I know of a few girls who had to do an LVN program and then bridge to RN.

Don’t give up! I applied to 3 other programs in different semesters and year and didn’t get accepted. You will get accepted.

Awww don't give up!! Pasadena just opened their applications for Spring 2021! Keep applying! ❤️

Hi Everyone,

I just got accepted into the COC ADN Fall 2021 program. May I ask what books you guys are using and whether or not having the "codes/access" were actually required for the class? I am a Mommy of 2 soon to be 3 and I will have a newborn right before the program starts. Anything I can do to start digesting the information before the program starts would be so helpful!

Hello! Congratulations! I would get the access codes if you can but they are not required, at least for my classes. They are good for 2 years though and are a good study tool. Maybe try to share a code with a friend two? That way it will keep the costs down? You can find a PDF version of the Taylor textbook for free pretty easily, if you don’t mind reading off a tablet or your computer. But I’m not sure if the books are going to stay the same for your cohort? You can definitely wait to purchase them until you start! During the 1st 6 weeks you only use Taylor textbook so that can help you spread out some costs as well.

Hello, I was also accepted into the fall 2021 cohort at COC and I was wondering what your overall experience of the COC nursing program is like? Are you satisfied with it so far and would you recommend it?
