Hi,
Can anyone tell me any good or bad info on Coliseum Medical Center in Macon, esp. their birthing Center? Also any info on Macon community would be appreciated. (I am considering a travel assignment to the area).
I am not with an agency or trav company. I am speaking about the job market that you hear about in emails, tv advertisments, newspaper classifieds ect. 'Nurses are in Need", if nurses are in such a need, then why do you have openings and they get applied for but you never call us in for an interview or even tell us we did not get the job? GET IT!?!?!

My query was with the OP
You are just way too lucky girl, I have been certified as a nurse assistant since 2002. ! I have been certified nurse assistant since 2002 and I have been out of a job since October of 2010. I wonder if you had someone that you know that works there to help you get your interview. If so, I sure wish I was that lucky.
Well, good luck honey, hope you get it:yeah:
How is the cardiac stepdown unit, I just had an interview Wednesday. I have heard that Coliseum was a hard hospital to work at and I already have an offer from MCCG. Trying to decide on which one I should take. Coliseum offers more money wise especially with their extra day incentive ($10 more an hour + overtime+ differentials). But the lady was very upfront in the interview and said that the cardiac stepdown unit was going through "staffing issues" and that the pt to nurse ratio is 5:1 which I found very unusual for a stepdown unit. How are you liking it?
