Has anyone been accepted to Cochran School of Nursing for Fall 2010?
Wana718,
Thanks :)Yep, I gave her my CC info yesterday. I'm waiting for the packet to find out what other expenses I have to pay for. Are you going to stay with the evening program? It will probably take me about two hours to get there and back. That makes that a 4 hour commute daily. I do work but I'm definitely going to switch to part time when I start the program. The first semester shouldn't be so bad. It's just the basics. As far as the schedule,to my knowledge, the Sat program, you have two days of clinicals in locations throughout the city. Where? Idk...and Sat lecture from 9am-1pm. Evenings, 3 day week with Two days clinical and 1 day lecture from 530 till 1130. Are you going to take Medmath online during the summer?
oh wow jamaica queens ok my aunt lives by basiley blvd somewhere. and regarding a packet i hope i receive something w/n the 2 weeks. im so mad at myself for being overly excited and by that totally disregarding everything she mention. but yeah i dont want to stay in evenings due to the commitment cuz it seems sat program finishes n the same time but theres less days/hours required. but yeah if i can get sat. program i prob will do that. but im happy im n so i prob will not make a big deal but i will ask . and i would like a class online just to avoid making all those trips to yonkers . but u know wat other than the post about an online class i wouldve never knew they had it. i dont recall much from our convo lol but i sure dont remember an online class. thank you 4 clearer that up. so its nursing 1017.5 credits and a math class thats only 1 credit which can be taken online during summer. i need parttime at my job asap. look i think i might call the college 2morrow and clear somethings up. do you think i should call? and you know what classes online is usually more money so i have to get some $. but on another note, maybe there an express bus u can catch somewhere.
Wana718,
I received the packet in the mail today. It contained info regarding the CPR class schedules and info about physical forms. I have to recertify so I'll probably take the April 20 course. I paid the deposit fee already. So, now I'm waiting for the costs of the uniform and reading list.
Call the college if you're not sure about certain things. I'm sure they'll be happy to assist you. I'm not sure about the price of the online class. It's only one credit, so I don't think it would be much. I have to fill out my fafsa form.
If things go according to plan,I hope to have a car by then.
hello kking
the math online is pretty easy. the prof post the chapiter online and also the homework to practice. every week you have a forum which count 10% of your grade. you only have 2 exams , the midterm and the final. i really like it . you can email the prof at anytime if you do not understand something.
I took the TEAS exam. got a 74.1% not so great. I went in for an interview on the 17th of March, it went pretty well. I still haven't heard anything from them. I hope I got in. Im a little anxious cuz its seems as though everyone else has gotten their acceptance letters a while ago. I live in brooklyn so I want the evening program.

Tagapitos,
Thanks:). I'll be coming from Jamaica, Queens, without a car. Hopefully, I'll be able to get one by then. I'm really leaning towards the Sat. program but I got accepted into the evening program.
