it's not taking what she says personally it's the fact that she sounds uneducated in how she speaks and she's unprofessionally. She's disrespectful to all around her ALL of the time. If she hates her job she should either suck it up and be professional or she should just find a new job and go back to nursing. She walks out in the middle of class so students are left alone guessing what they should do because she never let anyone use the paper while they were doing the skills. and she only showed us ONCE how to do it. The material isn't hard but you get what you pay for. it's ridiculous. and they don't look for you for internships that comes with the program.

I have my state exam tomorrow after I finished the class months ago.I'm worried cause she only showed us the hands on skills once and her "study sheets" make absolutely no sense. There is nowhere that I could've practice besides my house. I should've never continued to go here.It's just wasted money. You can bet I'm writing to the state about this school as they are not qualified to have any certification

This school is a joke and shouldn't be certified.You pay a cheap price and you definitely get what you pay for. I wish I hadn't paid in full. I just finished my internship at the nursing home (waterview nursing home-Look up reviews-they are known for horrible service.) There is no place to eat/practice your skills for the state exam.There is no job placement either.The instructor for the "lecture" shows you how to do skills once while rushing you (and that's about it.She won't talk about chapters or give an overview or notes.All you do is read on your own and do homework) She has absolutely no patience or professionalism. She is very rude and gives you attitude when you ask valid questions. It also takes months to get a test date and your certificate.This school was the biggest disappointment and the biggest waste of money and time. I want my money back and advise on going elsewhere if you're interested in becoming a CNA.

do you have more information on this?recently i've been thinking about starting as an lpn first to get more experience so i won't be overwhelmed if i eventually became an rn.how hard is it to get into the coler golwater's lpn program?

Cochran School of Nursing Hope this helps. I'd say just make sure you have all your paperwork together with your transcripts,application and syllabi. Make sure to take the CPR class, a&p I and II and microbiology first before you apply otherwise they make you take them at Mercy college before they really consider your application. Then you have to take the TEAS exam and then they call you to go on an interview. Give it 2-3 months for them to get back to you because the admissions committee meet once in the beginning of every month.

Is it just every saturday or is it the full weekend? How does that work?I can't imagine going to class once a week?But if it betters my chances I don't see a problem with asking to be changed...

i told her the evening program is fine keeping in mind that i really want to get in. so i'm on a waiting list now to get into the EVENING class. this means if i get in im going to be coming home at like 12-1 AM

I never heard of a waiting list for that school before and I already handed all the paper work in,took the entrance exam and had the interview. I asked for the day program and they're telling me i'm waitlisted for the evening program? It doesn't make any sense. So i have to wait and hope for that someone drops out basically? Or just apply for spring semester?Every time i call for information the same lady gives me an attitude rather than just answering my questions and being straight forward. Some people are so rude.

Nah, I'm still waiting for a response. When did you get your interview and all of that? They may not have gotten to my file yet? idk. You think I should call Monday or just wait around till I get a call/mail? :-/

Kking, I'm a couple of towns over-I live in rosedale. How are you getting there without a car? I got there by going to penn-taking the 6 to gct and then taking it to greystone and walking up that big hill...took forever to get to!

Are you a transfer student or straight out of high school? I already went to molloy and basically got all of my general education classes out of the way so now all i have to take and focus on are the nursing classes and clinicals. I applied in December, took the TEAS in mid-Feb and the interview at the end of Feb. I feel like I didn't have to wait that long to hear a response. I was interviewed by Dr. Juanita Hickman (Associate Dean) and she said she didn't think there would be any problem with me getting in. Maybe she's giving me false hope. she said she would write me a good recommendation so who knows? For now I have to wait and see. I'd have to get up early (i applied to the day program) to avoid traffic and i'll have my first car so it shouldn't be that bad. I hear it only takes a half an hour to get there from where i live. If they don't accept me for the fall i think i may head to farmingdale or york college and try them out.

wow. They really take their time getting back to you at this school. I believe the $100-$300 goes towards the first payment of your tuition. if you're aiming toward the evening program "theory classes are generally 2 days a week, beginning at 5:30P.M. and ending by 11:00 P.M. Clinical practice hours are 5:30 P.M. - 11:30 P.M., two days a week, with some daytime and weekend hours as needed." If i get in fall semester i'd be coming from queens. I hear the best bet is to make a study group a.s.a.p. all you're gonna be doing is studying. stay on top of the reading and for the first class for the math basics do the questions in the book.
