oh wow ok.. yeah i want to talk more 2 U 2... N i dont know how 2 do private messages either lol. .. Well until then.. the online class is awesome, only 1 pretest, and 1 midterm, and then the final. Its a 4week class n u need 2 pass with a 90. but any questions u have u just email professor or the other students. Some how we need 2 talk i just dont know how exactly. But dont worry... the book is Calculate with confidence by Deborah Gray Morris 5th Ed., but I bought the 4th Ed. for like $5. If u R that worried i would buy the book n study my calculations or just go 2 library.:twocents: I hope this helped some:}

4EverYoung Yes i did register already. Im taking the Nur100/math dosage class online now.I didnt think the class would start so early either but, they sent me info for this class a few weeks ago. We just started 2weeks ago and its a very short class. Well when did they tell u U were gonna be able 2 register? Cuz my course is considered 2/B a summer course as well.

Congrats 2 all that made it 2 the fall 2010 clinicals @ cochran school of nursing.. I would like to invite any 1 who made it to contact me.. I would luv 2 organize a study group that way we can stay updated n help each other out. If ur on the moodle forum plz send me a message. MilenaRyan, When i took my teas (summer 09) i used the 3.0 /4.0 version. However, i believe beginning fall, the exam required is versionV. Version V is the same exam w/additional science questions. Their older versions contained science but the questions varried n r quite unorganized. Version V study manual n test supposedly will be a more balanced version. Ive heard alot of people didnt do as well on science soo the company had to adjust the exam to better fit what type of material is covered in the book. Also, as for the cpr make sure that u register for the Healthcare Provider CPR not the heartsaver CPR. There is a difference b/c i do have a cpr card n it has not expired but it is not the type for nurses or nurising students. PS.. Teas exams can be retaken every 6 months a maximum 3 times @ cochran i believe.

Wow i neva heard of their waiting list but, more likely everyone that is excepted will not actually enter the program. LOL did they tell u what ur number on the waiting is? N actually i did read a post on here about someone being accepted at the last last minute. They had to rush to get everything completed soooo hopefully there is still a chance 4 u. U also said u wanted the day program but they offered the evening? GOODLUCK :}

Look i didnt take cpr class yet cuz i thought program didnt start until Sept. However, i just received info on there online course starting next month. So i will call them Mon. 2C if i can register for class or not. But hopefully u can get ur shot asap n i can take class asap so we can both register. Was the class hard b/c the brocher includes so many things lol.

Yeah i did, and i have to do the cpr class. I was told to call back in may since i dont need to start until Sept. I want to take it in queens 2 so i will mention it to them next month cuz she never mention that.A So im just waiting for ok for that class and to register during this summer. I thought u did everything already. wat happen?

hey Kking I c ur gonna take the cpr/healthcare provider course on the 17th. Did they tell u to go 2 the school or did they let u pay over the phone. im gonna contact them in may to take a class right before summer i believe. Do u know how often u need 2 re-certify is it like the BLS evry 2 years i wonder.

oh wow jamaica queens ok my aunt lives by basiley blvd somewhere. and regarding a packet i hope i receive something w/n the 2 weeks. im so mad at myself for being overly excited and by that totally disregarding everything she mention. but yeah i dont want to stay in evenings due to the commitment cuz it seems sat program finishes n the same time but theres less days/hours required. but yeah if i can get sat. program i prob will do that. but im happy im n so i prob will not make a big deal but i will ask . and i would like a class online just to avoid making all those trips to yonkers . but u know wat other than the post about an online class i wouldve never knew they had it. i dont recall much from our convo lol but i sure dont remember an online class. thank you 4 clearer that up. so its nursing 1017.5 credits and a math class thats only 1 credit which can be taken online during summer. i need parttime at my job asap. look i think i might call the college 2morrow and clear somethings up. do you think i should call? and you know what classes online is usually more money so i have to get some $. but on another note, maybe there an express bus u can catch somewhere.

:yeah:ohhh wow congrats kking:d. sooo do u remember wat she told u? lol did she mention the $100 dollars or when registration starts or anything else.? and from queens how long will it take you to get there cuz going home it will be really late . wow do you work? also i used to live in queens n i have family out there so maybe we can study together sometime when i go out there. also, i wanted saturday program too and ive heard good things about it so i doubt if anyone gives it up. they might fail out in first semester though so i wonder if u can change your program after u have been in another. questions and more questions can u help me? and i think saturday program is all day and you still have to come in during week for 1 rotation of the clinicals right

Im a transfer student from Hostos CC. My interviewer was the nursing psychology professor who i might add was a very pleasant interviewer. She was the one that informed me of the abundance of applicants. I over heard the dean mention the new change regarding entrance to the program and the stack of applicants to my interviewer. My situation is that i work fulltime and i have a child so evenings are better but not really.lol Im in late 20's so i have comittements that require me to work inadditon to pursing my nursing career. For me its been a long time coming since i was only taking 1-2 classes a semester so i put in my application a little early and good thing cuz i needed to prepare myself and weigh my options. I want an associate program not a bacherlors at the moment but i will continue my education part time with assistance of the nursing union(NYMA). So i guess we will not meet but again i will post and i hope you and others will as well. Also, queensborough has a good program and queens college, and york is good as well n their campus is not as confusing as queensborough. But cuny is good and cheaper to start with or finish your education if your able to. But i did hear the 4-year colleges and the day programs are easier to get into since there more seats available and most people work during the day.

Oh okay. Thank you for the info. Yeah i read through the other threads as well, and there is a ton of studying. Also, on my interview they mention there was an abundance of applicants, and they were just getting around to the stack that contain mine. There program and entrace test is going to change soon i believe. There is a version V. TEAS so it wil probably be that or maybe NLN but less likely since they proctor the TEAS already. In reference to the books, I also read that the other book is the fundamentals of nursing book 6ed. so i will look into that. Thanks again and goodluck with your application as well. Be patient and have a plan B & C like i did. I thought they ripped me off and forgot about me, but fortunately they were understandably swamp with applicants. They will overtime respond to all applicants just have all your documents in a timely matter. I will post more info when i receive it. And wow what a drive from queens to yonkers, I did it before in the summer with no a/c in my car during rush hour omg horrible.

OMG i think im in the evening program:D. I applied a year ago and i took the teas exam during 09'summer. I didnt get interview until 6 weeks ago. But surprisingly the dean just called me and said i was accepted. Theres an additional fee of $100 for something and i should receive more info in 2 weeks. Im really bad at listening when i get excited:confused:. lol so i hope she calls or sends me something explaining everything. Does anyone live in the bx and is interested in traveling together, starting a study group etc? Any advice regarding the program?. Can i purchase used books
