Has anyone who is going to register as an RN, RPN or NP in Ontario written the new Jurisprudence exam? I just wrote it now and it was just terrible. And I don't even have my results yet. Frustrating and just awful.

CNO was nice enough to SHUT THEIR WEBSITE DOWN for maintenance while I was writing it. RIDICULOUS!! Luckily I still passed, but could not access any of the stuff online to help me with the exam. I guess I am just lucky and a good guesser lol

I am completely agree with you, however it is the first time I ve applied for CNO , they didnt assess my case afte 2 years, I found that they are unprofessional but they make nurses to act professional and accountable.

Shameful! CNO 's not after the client's safety!!! They're after the money from the nursing applicants!!! That's being professional! We, the applicant's aspiring to be a nurse here in canada are the ones suffering financially, emotionally & psychologically!

is the jursiprudence exam hard? I was informed there is a 2 hour class before the exam. I will need it later on the year to register for LPN exam.

2 hour class before the exam? I've never heard of that at all. I took it back in April, and it wasn't that difficult, in my opinion. I just read through all of the required documents and took the exam.
O really, i live in manitoba and i just got an email saying if my credentual assessment is completed i will have to take their 2 hour session and test afterwards (jurisprudence session). maybe they do it differently in other provinces.

Basically, the jurisprudence exam is to determine how well you know the legalities related to registered nurses' practice in Canada. It's an open-book exam, from what I understand. If you read the CNA's ethics guidelines and the Health Professions Act pertaining to nurses, you should be fine.
OSCE is an Observed, Structured Clinical Exam. The examiners want to see HOW you practice. How you speak to your patient, how you perform your patient assessment, how you formulate and carry out your nursing plan of care and how you evaluate it when you're done. It's role-playing.

If CNO's letter does not contain any other information regarding your next steps, you should contact them for clarification. In the meantime go ahead and do the jurisprudence exam. Being eligible to write the jurisprudence exam and passing the exam does not usually mean you will automatically be registered and eligible to practice as a RN.
