Hi, nurse-hopefuls! I've been following along on all of the threads from the previous semesters and thought it might be nice to start fresh for the new round. Applications are due in about a month and a half and I was wondering how people were feeling?
My baccalaureate GPA is a 2.9, but my pre-requisite GPA is a 3.73. I also know I have a really strong personal statement. I'm hoping that will make up for my undergrad gpa.
Is anyone else getting nervous? The last thing I'm waiting on are my letter of recommendations so I'm hoping those come in soon...
Wishing you all luck!
I was accepted to the Hopkins Masters entry to nursing program but I'm leaning towards UMB! I'm not sure JHU is worth the cost and I definitely felt more comfortable at the UMB open houses--the faculty and program seems more focused on a student's success. And there is a UMB shuttle stop a block away!
Congrats to everyone who was accepted! Now the real fun begins.
Little heads up: brush up on your a&p (especially if its been awhile) and medication calculation dosages.
If you would like any recommendations let me know.
Hey, kmun911! How is your first semester going?
I'm really curious about how the clinicals and labs will work, specifically for first semester when a lot of it will be on campus. Also, what supplies do you recommend getting for classes/labs/clinicals?
Thanks!
