I've heard from someone about CNA working in a home health care agency but with babies too!
What is that called? How would I go about looking up a job for this?
Don't get me wrong, I love my job and working with seniors, but I would also love to work with babies too!
If you know, please let me know. Thank you!!!!

I worked for a home health care agency that got both seniors and babies. Personally I liked taking care of the babies better.

I have heard of positions like that...I think they are called doulas. I see postings for them a lot on craigslist.

A doula is actually a birthing support person. Home Health Aides that work with babies would still be Home Health Aides, I would think.

Birth Doulas are birthing support persons. Post partum doulas assist with care for the first six weeks following birth. This can include things like shoping for the mom, helping with diapers, arranging for a lactition consultant etc...

I am a little OT here but a having a doula at your birth is awesome most of them are worth their weight in GOLD :heartbeat
How did you go about finding that job? I'm having the hardest time trying to find something like that. Maybe we don't offer that around me, but I swore I heard something like that someplace around me. But I just can't seem to have any luck :/

A lot of home health places accept clients of all ages, from babies to geriatrics.
The problem is, there just aren't as many babies who NEED home health care, you know? They make up a low percentage of those who need home health care in most areas. A big city might have a diverse enough population to have home health businesses specifically catering to peds, but your average town probably won't.
If you have your heart set on working with babies, your best bet is a hospital. Or if you'd like to work with kids of all ages, there are long term care facilities for kids - mostly developmentally disabled in one way or another. I work at one and I love it. We have kids ranging from a 3 month old baby to adults.
