Specializes in My son...for now..

Hello out there. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are in nursing homes or long term care facilities in San Bernardino/Riverside Counties that will provide cna training. I am interested in becoming a CNA, while I attend nursing school. Please let me know as soon as you can!

Thanks...

I reside in San Bernardino County and work as CNA. The following are the colleges and hosptials I know of that you could apply for CNA program.

Barstow Community College, Barstow,Ca

Victor Valley College Victorville Ca

Bear Valley Community Hospital, Big Bear Lake Cal.

Veterans Home of California, Barstow had a program Im not sure if they still do.

In California is it required that you be fingerprinted upon admission to the classes. And background check is done. You will have to look up the phone numbers to the schools above I havent got them offhand but I do know that those places do provide the training. I think that the adult schools in the area provide training also? you can check them out too.

Hope I could help and good luck with your education.

Try the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program. They provide Nurse Assistant (certified) classes every three months or so. When I went there in 2000 for my classes, it was $400 for the class and textbooks, $100 for uniform (white scrubs), $50 or so for Dept of Justice finger-printing, and $100 for other things. The class was from 7am until 3pm with a one hour lunch. Classes were monday through Friday for two months. They provided on-site CNA state exam and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ;)

Specializes in geriatric care.

You can also call the and CA. Nurse Aide Registry at *****

They will have a list of all the certified classes in your area.

I took my class through Riverside Regional Occupational Program last year. The fee is only $20.00!! But of course you have to pay the other stuff. But it was all really cheap.

You should check with convalesant or assisted living facilities.alot of them have classes that the facilities teachs on the job. you work as a Nursing Assistant until you finish training and go thru certification exam. It's on the job training so you get paided to learn and work

Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga has a great program too!

Specializes in none.

Hi there,

Did you find a program yet? I live in Corona and have been searching for a cna program.

The Red Cross offers CNA training...check out your local chapter.

You should try the Reginal Occupation Program

I live in Perris Riverside County.

I actually just made an appointment to go take an assesment test.

And i believe there classes start in July or August.

riverside ROP sounds good since it seems like the cheapest out of all.

does anyone know what the ROP assessment test going to be like?

Wow! I am shocked Pumpkin mention the Veterans Home. I have no idea how easy or difficult it is to get into. All I know is my father was a Vet (I am also a Vet) and they took great care of him before and still do after at his grave site.
