My class was soooo boring. We had 100 plus slides on a powerpoint per class. And it was evening, so when the lights were turned out, all I wanted to do was sleep. Avoid the powerpoints, and if you have to do them, don't put paragraphs on them, or put pictures and at least try to make them interesting, break them up with skills, etc.
Something I really enjoyed was getting up in front of the entire class and doing the skills individually. Sure, sometimes it was embarrassing (especially at first) but we all learned from each others' mistakes.
Good luck with teaching and organizing!
My cna class was fun. I do admit it was hard getting up on weekends to be in class 9-5 sat and sun But the instructor was so sweet and funny she knew her stuff and we all passed. I really enjoyed my class I was nervous at first but everything went great. The students was really nice also!
I enjoyed the material but my teachers did not want to be there and they let us know. They were also extremely harsh on people in clinicals if they had a hard time performing a skill...even if it was their firsts time doing it on a person. I loved learning and especially the patient interaction but the teachers made the atmosphere miserable.

Just wondering if you enjoyed your CNA training? If yes or no.... were there specific reasons you did/did not enjoy it? Also, did you CNA instructor ever do any sort of games or presentations that you really liked?? The reason behind all this is that I just got hired to be the program coordinator for a high school CNA program. Looking to make it fun/interesting!! :) Thanks for you input!
