I see that tcc offers an lvn program... has anyone taken the class? how hard is it to get in? what pre req's are required? I have to be accepted into the program before twc will pay for the class,if anyone has gone this route please let me know what steps I need to proceed with being accepted into the program.

Thanking you in advance.

Hi School45,

Did you mean TSTC (Texas State Technical College) ?. I'm trying to get into that program this year. They have 4 campuses at Abilene (325-672-7091), Breckenridge (254-559-6556), Brownwood (325-643-5987), & Sweetwater (325-235-7300).

Their website is http://www.tstc.edu and you can download an application & requirements package from there. They have two intakes a year (May & August), and the application deadline for Fall is June 25. Ms Liz Bex (325-235-7318) coordinates the Sweetwater Campus enrollment. I found her very helpful. Good luck, I hope to meet you there.

UT at Arlington *might* be having an LVN program, but this is 2 years away if they decide to do it. Also Career Center in Fort Worth is opening one up soon as well. HTH!
