Nursing Students CNA/MA

I really don't know what to do:crying2: I finished my CNA course on 2/28 & have applied to numerous places, but so far I've heard from no1. I signed up with an agency but they dont have any open cases. I just feel really hopeless & I'm starting to wonder if I made the right decision by taking a semester off from school in order to do this. Yes, I realize its a recession & its effected the healthcare industry but I see CNA jobs out there. They all ask for 1yr experience though. How am I supposed to get experience if no1 will give me a chance? :crying2::crying2::crying2:

Okay I'm done ranting now.:o

Stay positive and keep looking. I am sure there is something out there for you!

Hi guys just wanted to give an update! I went to a job fair that a local assisted living home was having. They actually had me shadow one of the caregiver's for an hour b4 they interviewed me! The place is really nice & so were the residents(all of the residents have dementia). Anyways everything went great & once the background check comes back (which btw they wouldn't accept the one I just did for the BON!) she said she'd call me back & get me set up for orientation :)

omg i dont know what to do now.... i was thinking bout doing it..but reading ur situation...im not sure! help me out!

Sorry if I scared you!! Or anyone for that matter!:crying2: I don't regret taking this class at all & if I had to go back in time, I would do it all over again. It just took me a couple months to find a job, but I think its because alot of places did not want to hire me without being licensed ( i had a 90 day license from the board but I don't think they cared). But I finally got my license # on Friday & on Monday I got a job! And this one will pay a lot more than the other places I was looking at initially :up:So if nursing is in your heart than I say go for it! Good luck :)
