hello everyone,
I think its every nurse dream to work in a hospital.
Unfortunately, as a foreign grad and no past nursing professional experie
nce my chance of landing a RN hospital job is zero.
My competitions are US citizen new RN grads and RNs with experience.
so I plan to work as a CNA without initially disclosing my RN license and after 2 months if I would then renew my license and tell my employer that i just past nclex then I would apply for a RN position in the same hospital.
My question is, can my undisclose RN license be expose during background screening?
Pleae share your thoughts if my infiltration plan is lame and stupid.
I appreciate constructive criticism.

Lying by omission would be grounds for immediate termination. Your plan is not wise as when they verify your license it will be blatantly obvious that you renewed your license and didn't "just pass" the NCLEX. (Nursys lists date of original licensing and current renewal/expiration date). You will get caught.
If you are a licensed RN you need to see if your state nurse practice act permits you to work in an unlicensed role such as a CNA. Some do, some do not. All states will say that you will be held to the practice standards of your highest license credential.
Why not look for work in long term care, sub acute, LTAC, rehab, outpatient or other settings? As you have found jobs in acute care hospitals are highly competitive in much of the US.
