Hi all, I am a nursing student in Boston, and I am about to start my first semester of clinicals, med/surg 1. I was wondering if after that I would be able to apply for a CNA job without having to get certified. please let me know and thanks in advance for the help!

I'm in Michigan and was able to get a nurse assistant job after my first semester of nursing school making 14/hr. Then after finishing med surg 1 and I now make 18/hr.

In VA you can apply for your cert after so many hours of clinicals. You still have to take the CNA exam and skills test though.
