I was hoping someone can help me. I was a certified CNA and my license expired back in abour 1996. I live close to Boise, Idaho and wanted to know if I can renew my license or if I have to retake the course? Can anyone help.
Thank You,
Maria

you need to check with your state licensure board
log onto your state's web site and see if you can find someone to help you

Well I relocated from one state to another but in my current state I had to retake the entire course because it had been more than 5 years since I let my cert expire. I was a CNA from 1995-2000 and took a long break and changed careers. Now I need the CNA to get into the local Comm. Coll. Nursing Program so here I am again. 4 Saturday's of clinicals left until I can apply to take the exam again. Sucks. But oh well you gotta do what you gotta do.

Check with your state. In Maine you would have to re-take the whole course if it has been 2 years or longer without working as a CNA. Good Luck!
