Its at Northern California nursing academy anyone taking the exam there ?

I did took mine last year. Staff are friendly, all of them are filipino

Hi nomad29,

Planning to take mine this July. Hope you could share your experience with us. Panic starts as early as now since my fundamentals was 5 years ago. I'm kinda confuse what steps to follow because Red Cross and NNAAP have different steps ( some steps has, other one don't). Since the school you went for exam was a NNAAP affiliates ,I guess you reviewed basically the booklet they provide, ?

I appreciate your kindness. thanks

What did you mean by your fundamentals? If you are saying that you took your CNA class 5 years ago but never took your CNA states test you might have a problem. I know when I took my class they said you had a year after passing the class to take your exam but after the year was up you would not be qualified to take the exam.

what i meant was I applied for equivalency.. and my transcript was accepted I didn't need to take classes anymore instead take the exam right away ( or after providing fee, id, etc). Most CNA skills were taught during our 1st year in BSN which was not usually practice and given emphasis since then. Now, I feel like I am starting all over again practicing my own refresher course.

Did you take yours at Northern CA Nursing Academy? Any feedback?

Highly appreciated. thanks.

Study all skills and it's random when they test you. It's not an easy pass.

Hoping you will pass with flying colors

thanks bradycardic, yeah I am expecting that though. thanks for the advice. btw, you said study all skills..was this mean only the listed skills on the brochure are the possbile skills to be perform?

Thanks again. I'm starting to freak out.:banghead:

I appreciate that mvm2,thanks. what skills did u perform then?

I had to show...

Hand Washing

Mouth Care w/ Dentures
