Forced to resign after 7 weeks
@porkdumpling, It has been almost 9 months when you posted your experience. And you have good thread of comments. I am on the same boat right now. I only have 10 days left before my preceptorship ends. I have a feeling that I will end up resigning or worst be terminated. I was wondering what has been happening since then? Did you get a job? Did you bring up your experience in your resume/ interview? Have you moved on already? your insight would help me a lot in my dilemma. Thanks

My CA-LVN Timeline
i would like to say that your thread is just so helpful to us TheAverageMan.. Kudos for you! Just graduated in Phil. April 2014. passed PNLE Jun 2014. Now, I'm planning to apply for LVN. his will be my guide to this journey of LVN. What method did you follow in you application is it Method 2 or method 3? I am following the Method 2 now: " Graduate of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vicational Nursing. or should I suppose to follow Method 3 "Equivalent education and/or Experience" I've seen the list of requirements you've sumbmitted. seems same in method 2, am i correct? Thanks for your reply guys.

CNA exam skills part???
hi guys, please share or guide us on what you have been through during your CNA exam. You can save us from panic attack..=(. Anybody went to Northern CA Nursing Academy in Daly City for the exam? What should be done first: hand wash, gathering supplies, explain procedure ,privacy (to save time) or hand wash, explain procedure, privacy, hand wash, gather supplies ( more sterile) ? Should we just strictly follow the booklet they sent us California NURSE ASSiStANT handbook for the skills, no more no less? Appreciate your rply.

Cna exam in Daly City on 22nd
what i meant was I applied for equivalency.. and my transcript was accepted I didn't need to take classes anymore instead take the exam right away ( or after providing fee, id, etc). Most CNA skills were taught during our 1st year in BSN which was not usually practice and given emphasis since then. Now, I feel like I am starting all over again practicing my own refresher course. Did you take yours at Northern CA Nursing Academy? Any feedback? Highly appreciated. thanks.

Cna exam in Daly City on 22nd
Hi nomad29, Planning to take mine this July. Hope you could share your experience with us. Panic starts as early as now since my fundamentals was 5 years ago. I'm kinda confuse what steps to follow because Red Cross and NNAAP have different steps ( some steps has, other one don't). Since the school you went for exam was a NNAAP affiliates ,I guess you reviewed basically the booklet they provide, ? I appreciate your kindness. thanks
