I know most of you are RN's, but hopefully some of you may know something about this. So it's 4am and I'm going crazy because I have an interview later today (2pm) for a position as a CNA in the ER. I'm going insane because I have no idea what type of questions they will be asking me. I get worried that out of no where some random scenario will be brought to me and I will be like "um....." LOL. Anyone know what type of questions they ask in an interview for a CNA in the ER?

Google "CNA Interview Questions." It will give you an idea of what they might ask. Usually its stuff like: why do you want to work here, what can you bring to our hospital that other CNA's can't, how do you handle stress, how are you with different races or religions, how are you with multi-taking, what is considered hypertension or hypotension, what are average temps for oral/rectal etc. If you are really worried, write down answers before hand to possible questions and review it. Good luck!

Wow! Congratulations on landing your first CNA job in an ER, that is impressive:) Keep us updated on how everything goes! Even though I am only applying for jobs in LTC and Rehab I can live vicariously through your tales of emergency patient care until I get there;)

Wow! They hired you the same day, and you had no previous CNA experience. You must have been really great in your interview. It's great that they want to work with your school schedule as well! That's a rarity. Good luck with your new job you lucky ducky!
