I'm the new president of Club 265! None of my nursing friends/co-workers had 265 on nclex. They all shut off at 75 and passed (I'm talking like 30 people) and I sat today for almost 6 hours (I'm a slow tester anyway) and answered 265. About 20 SATA's which were cinchy in comparison to the "pick one" questions. weird?????????
I got to such a point of frustration at around 150 that I might have blown it. I'm talking in tears and everything. Took a break, told myself "have a quick little pity party for fun then get peeved and take that exam DOWN!"
Yah, um, just couldn't get past the frustration and exhaustion. I'm my own worst enemy. I certainly don't think it helped me to know about everyone else. It put on some serious pressure (self-inflicted, I know)
So, what's the status of any other Club 265 members? Looking for some comfort here. Let me know either way whether you just took it, took it a long time ago, passed with 265, failed with 265 etc....
Hello everyone, just to keep you posted, I did not pass this time around. I was depressed for a couple of days, but just like the advice I gave everyone, to continue on, I have to take my own advice as well! So, here we go, back to the books, the motivation and the drive back on the road of review! I am going to purchase a Saunders 4th edition (had the 3rd edition) and use the trainers that I used the last time, reprint them again. Any suggestions anyone? Thanks all feedback appreciated.

Good luck Jazzy! You can do it! It's all about confidence. Saunders is an excellent study guide. Are you following Suzanne's plan? I like your attitude, and it's about time and your hard work and perseverance will pay off. NCLEX as intimidating as it can be, it is just a TEST. It's all about confidence and hard work. Study hard, review missed questions, understand rationales and take time to breath.
Good luck to you and I hope to see your posting saying that you are officially RN very soon. Believe in yourself!
Best of wishes!

Thanks Jack5801....atleast I have the confidence in the random fact throwing and Suzanne's Plan! I found many things that helped me using those sources. I know this because some of the items on the exam I found were correct, just off the sources used. So, at least I know I am in the area of strong resources. thanks for the positive feedback, just wanted to make sure that I am still on that right path. It is so easy to discourage one self of not getting that title, but we graduated from the program, and all we need is to get through the hurdle and pass.
Still sad about it, but hey, I am going to keep going...as much as it hurts! thanks Jack5801 and everyone else....good luck to you and congrats who have passed already!

Use only the 4th book and stay away from those trainers. My program uses only the one book and if you are adding in anything else, then it is no longer my program.
That is the reason that it is never sent out more than two months before testing, so that nothing else will be used. And during the time that you are using my plan, you should never be adding in anything else during that day when doing questions, or then you are doing more than you should and your brain does not retain it.
Best of luck to you.
I passed yesterday with 265 and felt worse than you. I cried when I got to question 170 and didnt stop. When I checked my status yesterday,my birthday, it said pass. Keep your faith because you made it through nursing school so you have the foundation needed to pass the test. Let us know and good luck:up:
Hi,
I want to let anyone know who did not pass and did the 265 question test not to give up.... I was in the same position last fall.... I got right back up a week later and did the Kaplan Review on line and I did every review section, did all the questions and took notes... I read why an answer was right or wrong and the rationals... When I retook my exam it shut off at 75! Don't give up... It is disappointing and the thought of studying again almost makes you want to curl up and pull the covers over you head! I can say one thing, I felt I knew so much more as a nurse after doing the Kaplan, so it was worth it..... Good Luck to you all.... see you on the nursing floors!
