I am glad she could finally save something. She couldn't save her marriage and she couldn't save this nation from going through hell but at least she save some bacon.

Mark Hamel and Burn Out I understand that Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and her husband are still together and I think the Clinton bashing on these boards has been done ad nauseum. Bill Clinton hasn't been President for 6 years now and Hillary seems to be doing something right otherwise the good citizens of the State of New York wouldn't have elected her to Congress. Give it a rest already!!!!
I agree totally..don't combine politics and nursing. No one ever wins and it is always a heated battle, so let's just stick to nursing. I hope Hilary continues to work in New York and not my home state.

ITA. I am sick to death of the continued bashing by Clinton haters. They've both gone on to do good works; funny how the haters never acknowledge that.
And unless some of you have extraordinary access to their lives, you really don't know what is going on in their marriage, so the snarky comments are just mean spirited speculation.
Sometimes it pays to get political....... Columbia Memorial and Local 1199 SEIU settle without a strike ! http://www.midhudsonnews.com/NEWS/CMH_1199_contr-06Jul06.htm :yeahthat:

I agree that it would better to stick to nursing. However, I'm not surprised to see something political in this area, "Nursing Activism/ Healthcare Politics. The title seems to invite political discussion as it relates to our profession. I do agree with your hopes that Hilary continue her work in New York and not my home state.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone by my post but I feel that we nurses have more important issues to deal with in our profession than to be at each other's throats over politics and religion.

Hopefully, Sen. Clinton's efforts will result in a fair negotiation for the workers at Columbia. Thanks for posting it Mark, I don't know why it should result in nasty comments about her marriage(which is still intact by the way). I am always amazed at the bitterness towards the Clintons especially considering the mess this country is in today. I guess peace and prosperity is threatening to some people.
