Clinical Parking

Published

Anyone else have a nice long walk to get to their clinicals?? Here we have to walk 6 blocks in full uniform/lab coat there and back. The hospital here does not want us parking in the original parking lot nor the employee parking lot so we are having to park at a donut shop about 6 blocks up, in a not so nice neighborhood through the rain/sleet and snow and still manage to be there on time at 6:45 clean and presentable! I'm not saying it isn't possible but wow! lol Was just curious if anyone else had to do the long walk to and from clinicals.

Oh yeah...Well when I was a nursing student I had to walk three miles in a blizzard and up-hill BOTH ways to get to my clinicals. Did I tell you I was barefoot too?!:p

LOL! My dad used to tell that story about going to school...in south Louisiana.

My clinicals are across the 4 lane highway from class. The other rotation is at charity and we get to park in the empoloyees lot.
