hello everybody..i need your ideas pls..a friend of mine just got a call from an agency here in the phil last dec 07 that she applied last nov07 saying her papers are ready and she's scheduled to be in ontario as a clinic nurse early march this year..i wonder is this possible?she doesn't even have any hospital experience yet...your comments will be a big help..thanks..and i fogot to add she doesn't even took crne yet..im confused..

is this true? what agency is it? i think she'll not work as a RN though...

She will not be working in the role of the RN if she has not written the required exam for that.

Be aware that without having clinical experience and expecting to function in a clinic, she is going to have issues more than likely. If the facility that offered her employement, and they do not like her skills, they will cancel her contract and that automatically cancels her visa and she has to leave the country.

She is going over on a temporary work visa that is subject to being cancelled at anytime, never recommend this route for anyone. Getting a contract cancelled and having to leave a country is not something that anyone should even have hanging over their heads.

thank you so much suzanne.id like to add that the agency is well- known and legal here in the phil.they told my friend that she will be given 90days grace period if shell do good in her work and to review and take the crne.but the contract is 3 yrs.does this mean if her employer didnt like her she will be forced to come back?and her salary is usd800/wk its given monthly.everything else is provided by the agency including food and housing. is this possible? responses will be very much appreciated.thanks

If she does not pass the exam, or they do not like her, the contract gets cancelled immediately. This visa is strictly a temporary work visa and can be cancelled at anytime and for any reason.

Seriously doubt that she will be getting $20 per hour as well as all housing and food paid for. That is not adding up at all. Just does not add up at all. Unless they are placing ten people together in one apt, like we have seen some agencies do in NY.

Take the time to think about this, how can an agency pay this and still make a profit? Just is not going to happen like what you are telling me.

again, thank you for your respnse.

Hello, Teencee!

I, too, am looking at getting a chance at a job in Canada... have no experience yet as RN. Wonder how/where I could contact the agency your friend applied at? Thanks!
