Cleveland Clinic - RN Resident Position

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Hello,

I have a question about getting hired as a new RN to the Cleveland Clinic. I applied to a generic RN Resident position for new RNs. I really want to work in the NICU, PICU, or Pediatric ER. Will I be able to request what areas I would be interested to work in? Locations to work at? I guess I'm just not sure how that works because I have no idea if they already have a floor they are screening me for?

Thanks!

It's not, as long as you try. Everyone at the Clinic had me super stressed out over that physical test! Just push and pull as hard and as fast as you can. As long as you put forth an effort you pass!

Thank you! It's been freaking me out since it's the only thing left between me and the job lol

Do they tell you on the spot if you passed?

No you have to wait two days!!

Hi everyone. What was the timeline from phone interview to getting an offer? It's getting close to the holidays and I'm from out of state so I'm thinking it might take longer for me. My phone interview is next Friday.

I had a phone interview on a Tuesday, manager interview the following Monday and received an offer the next day. But I think it all depends on how soon you can get in to do a manager interview and if they're still processing other applicants. Good luck! :)

Thanks @Ttillrn! I did my phone interview with the recruiter yesterday and I got an email to schedule another phone interview with a manager at Medina Hospital :) this is happening so fast, VERY different from California hospitals

That's great, good luck !

I live two miles from Medina Hospital! It's a very nice community! Hope you get it! If you do and you need any resources or help, feel free to message me!

About how long on average does it take to get a phone interview after applying? TIA!

Specializes in NICU.

I had a phone interview the day after I applied. Interviewed at Medina Hospital, which wasn't for me so I pulled my application. Then I interviewed for a main campus position and really liked it, found out at my interview I would be receiving a call the next day officially offering me the job. Got the official offer 8am the next morning.

Thanks dalmatianmancer. What type of experience did you have before applying?
