During my phone interview they asked where I was interested in working. I told them NICU, PICU, any pediatric floor, or any mother baby unit. They told me they have none of those positions open and that if they did new grads most likely wouldn't get them. I was then asked again what unit and hospital I wanted to work via email. I responded the same but I did say med/surg as well (at this point I had no other prospective job interviews). I was invited to interview for a medsurg position on a satellite campus (closest hospital to my house), but I was not impressed at all. I was also invited to interview on a neuro floor at main campus but declined the interview. It's adults and I really don't care for nursing with adults. I have also interviewed for a NICU at a different hospital, and a PICU at a different hospital. I am really excited and hope I get a job offer from one of these two jobs :)
There were many things I personally didn't like about the clinic, but I'm sure there are a lot of people who love the clinic.

Hello,
I have a question about getting hired as a new RN to the Cleveland Clinic. I applied to a generic RN Resident position for new RNs. I really want to work in the NICU, PICU, or Pediatric ER. Will I be able to request what areas I would be interested to work in? Locations to work at? I guess I'm just not sure how that works because I have no idea if they already have a floor they are screening me for?
Thanks!
