Clep vs uexcel

Nursing Students Excelsior

Ok. I am planning on clep'ing out on human growth and development instead of the uexcel exam. My thought is that the Clep is widely accepted and the uexcel may not be accepted if I need to transfer the credits in the future. Am I right in thinking this way? My other question is can I use the Sg101 as a study guide for the clep, or should I use the clep study guide. And should I purchase the excelsior practice exams to gauge how I will do on clep? I scheduled my exam for approx 3 weeks. You think I could do well with just 3 weeks if I stay consistent with stufying? Heard it's a pretty easy exam. Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond to my questions.

Yes. I took Intro to Sociology, Intro to Psychology, and Analyzing & Interpreting Literature...all CLEP exams. You would just need to see where (through your advisor) they will apply those credits before you take them. You wouldn't want to duplicate any similar credits or take an exam that doesn't apply to the ASN degree....I had that to happen, but was later able to apply certain credits to the BSN degree program.

Yes I did the review of credits and I'm missing developmental, sociology, and micro. That what they said I needed and I either take the EC exams or clep.

DSST life span development is a letter grade - if you get a 54 or above it's an A, all the CLEP are pass/fail or a C grade so if you're worried about gpa you should do dsst.

I did the dsst exam and got an A using studygroup101.
