CLC Students...when can I expect a letter?

I am currently a CLC student and am hoping to get in for Jan, 2008. I can't wait until November for a reply. I am already practicing my happy dance!!:monkeydance: My family is ready to kill me.

I want days as I only work weekends.

I can't beleive that school starts in less than a week. I don't know if I should be happy or sad!! :uhoh3:

Well, best of luck to you...I hope you get in!! Did you take the NLN again? I got an 85% on mine, but I'm going to take it again on teh 28th to try for a better score...we shall see!

I got a 96%, but I am taking it again because my daughter is doing it. We will be there the 28th as well. Good luck!!

Oh my gosh...you are in. Don't even worry about it...I'm taking it again trying to get up to at least a 90% to feel confident that I'll get in. My score now is right on the borderline, so I'm not comfortable enough knowing I'll get in.

Congrats to you on that - hopefully we'll all be starting in the Spring! Best of luck to your daughter!

Well, unfortunately I got my letter yesterday...I only scoreda 90 on the NLN and I am now in the "waiting pool"....talk about a depressing day!! When i called to ask the lowest score they took they told me "some 91's"....I don't have much hope of getting a call because I don't think that many people would decide not to go in January....Good luck to you all

You really never know what could happen. I feel for you...I can't believe the cutoff was so high (considering this Fall semester was 83%), but I bet for the Fall '08, it'll go down. It seems like spring is a little higher and I think it is because people have more opportunities to improve on their score...JMO.

I am going to keep my fingers crossed for you that you get in. If not, take a pre-req (if you need them) next semester and get it out of the way! I am done with mine and glad that I am!

Thanks...I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and sign up to retake the NLN in December or not..I still have to take Micro and Intercultural Comm.

When did you take the NLN originally? You can't take it twice within a 6 month window, so if you took it in July or August, you can't take it again until January, which would be after the cut-off for Fall '08. Just wanted to point that out.

I took it in June and they said I can take it again December 11th....same week as my finals...UGH!! But they did say that they would take the highest score so I guess I have nothing to loose!

You are absolutely right...you have nothing to lose. I was debating whether or not I should take it again in August or not. June was the first window and December is the second, so your good.

90 is very good though...I feel so bad for those who did that well and got rejected!!! I would have been very upset. I bet you would get in for Fall '08 with the 90 but I absolutely understand wanting to improve your score...BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!! And keep us posted!!!
