Hey! I am just starting this forum to see who else is applying for Clayon State's Spring 2012 BSN Program. I just applied and now the waiting begins..
yeah i just made my account too. I guess thats a website we will be using for alot of tutorials and stuff! but I see the magic for meds thing but i guess we just read it on there and we dont need a book? I am confused on that. lol because it says version 3.0 but on the checklist it says 2.0.
I just printed the information. Have been dealing with my daughter this week and this is the first time I have gotten a chance to look at the material. Has anyone signed up for their CPR class yet? I think I am going to take mine on a Saturday. I will take my acceptance agreement to the school Monday after class. So much to do, so much I am dealing with, but I know I can do it. Again, looking forward to meeting all of you in the next few weeks. Maybe we can get together after the semester for a nursing student holiday Christmas party!!
Kayswiss3, there is a new insurance being offered to us exclusively from Kasier Paermenente (best insurance in the world). Christy Hicks sent out a email yesterday will all the details. They are only offering it to the first 30 students so if you are interested you must move fast. For single individuals without children and makes under $32,000 a year, its $27 a month, $324 a year! The school's insurance is charging $1050 a year and it only covers the student. For a family (spouse and dependents) its $82 a month, $984 a year. If anyone is interested they should act quickly.
Congratulations to all of those that will be starting in the Spring! Have yet to receive my official acceptance letter, but have gotten the e-mail from Ms. Hicks about the insurance and the e-mail from UHS about immunization... I interviewed and was accepted in the Fall but was unable to attend. Glad to not to have had to go through that again, although it went much better than I expected it to. Very thankful and grateful for the opportunity to join you guys in the Spring though!
Hi mom2011,
The class is offered Saturday, November 19th from 9 until noon and is $55. I have not registered for it just yet. Wanted to see if any others would, but since I work full time during the week, this seems to be my best bet (unless another course is offered cheaper somewhere else, of course!).

OK, I signed up at EDGT, and once I did, it gave me access to tutorials and tests (like Math Magic). I have not explored everything yet, but it def looks helpful.
