  1. I'm anxious to find that out as well. I feel prepared to handle the course work, but not knowing about clinically has me stressing ever so slightly í ½í¸Ÿ
  2. I am a new nurse. March made my 1 year anniversary. I wonder if that's ok... I think I am going to work on getting everything in by the end of this week. Hope I didn't decide to apply too late!
  3. That's actually pretty good turn around! How long have you guys been nurses?
  4. How soon were you guys accepted from the time you applied? Do you know how many they're accepting? Thinking of applying but know the deadline is quickly approaching!
  5. During a certain window of time, an application will be available in the careers section on their website. Not sure when that is though. There should also be a link to the application on the Nurse residencies' home page. If all else fails, you can always call HR and inquire. Sorry i wasn't more help.
  6. Wow asholey88, that sounds really interesting!
  7. Any Dekalb Medical nurse residents? Dekalb Medical nurses, what has been your experience?
  8. Rachel1987, I was positive that I would go ahead with the plan as was set with the other institution up until about 5 minutes ago. My mom called and said one of her MD friends "knew I was choosing Emory"... so confusing, and only a few more hours to figure it all out. Will you be at EUHM in the ER too? Have you received a definite shift yet?
  9. URNmyway, I would love to pm, but it says you must delete messages first
  10. I am very thankful that Mr. Darrell suggested that I just call him on Monday. I understand that this is something that is very time sensitive, but at the same time this is potentially one of the most important decisions I've ever had to make and I owe it to myself to be thorough and thoughtful in deciding! Both positions are in the ED which helps in muddying the waters for me. The other hospital pays a tad more base and I already know I'd be working nights there. Won't know until after the residency at Emory. I know i want to go back to school, so Emory would be best in that perspective. Plus, I got 3 calls from Emory yesterday...is that a sign?
  11. Emory called with an offer in the ER!!! Now I have a dilemma... I recently declined an offer at Houston Medical to accept at Dekalb Medical. After completing thevpre-employment screen last week, I get the offer from Emory... This is definitely the one I wanted, but I dont know what I should do in this situation. Would I be wrong to call Dekalb and decline after accepting since the job does not start until March 3rd?
  12. Congrats Rachel1987! I haven't heard anything back yet, but I was told that I was the very first to interview and that there were 25 others to follow. The interview was a lengthy problem-based interview with tons of "what if" and "name a time when" questions. I completed my senior preceptorship in the ER. Thats the only experience i have with the ER. Good luck in your interview!
  13. I did not send a cover letter. If I am not mistaken (since it feels like ages ago since I applied), I only submitted the app and the questionnaire.
  14. I interviewed last week for Midtown in the ER. Anybody else interviewing for ER?
  15. Congrats ama3t! No call here either but i did get the same email about forwarding the resume to the hiring department.
