Hey! I am just starting this forum to see who else is applying for Clayon State's Spring 2012 BSN Program. I just applied and now the waiting begins..

Thanks for all of your help an2on! I know you say not to buy our books until the semester starts..however, what is the name of that dosage calculation workbook that we need? And where is the best place to get it? I want to go ahead and get that one so I can start looking over it before the program starts.

Definitely! I forget to mention that you need to get that book before the semester starts. It's called 'Clinical calculations made easy by Gloria P. Craig' ISBN: 9781608317905 5th edition. The best place to buy it is Amazon and you can sign up for a student account for free shipping.

an2on, is this the $20 book on amazon, or the $60 book??

Hey, I just checked and it is the one that is $60. I bought the 4th edition for $12 until I realized, when I bought the bundle from the bookstore, that the new edition was required. However, it is the same information in the 5th edition but with difference practice problems and minus the errors from the 4th edition. But I would definitely not buy the book for $60 because it will already come in the bundle.

Thank you! So you would suggest just buying the whole bundle from the bookstore instead of buying the book separate? What other book does the workbook come in a bundle with?

It's a lot. Each class is one bundle. Health promotion has pharmacology by karch, fundamentals of nursing by taylor, dosage book by craig and a nutrition book. Health assessment has health assessment textbook and lab manual w/ pocket guide by jensen. For hit 1 is textbook of medical surgical nursing by brunner Vol. 1 and 2.

Hi all,

I wanna let ya'll know that our school will have a CPR class for $45 each person. I was told this by Ms. Latrice Barlow, Health Manager of the University Health Services Office. She said she's waiting for a room reservation, so the date for it has not been determined yet. I'll keep you updated about this when get info from her. Hey Jase did you end up purchasing the dosage calc workbook from amazon or are you just going to wait and buy it w the packet?

Steph, I went ahead and bought one on Amazon. I bought a copy (new w/ CD) for $9. It is an older edition, but it will do fine for preparing ahead of time. Just want to be up to speed before I buy the bundle at the bookstore.
