Wanted to start a thread for spring 2016 grads..I would love to share this journey for the next couple years and offer as much support that I can!

I have been on a 6year prereq journey ; going to school at night and on weekends while working and taking care of two kids... I have applied to multiple nursing schools around the Bay Area for the last couple years and am FINALLY starting ADN program SPRING 14!! Yipee..I truly believe that GOD is starting me at the right time jn my life and feel ready to absorb it all. I am super excited and am going to spend the next 7 months reviewing material and taking it easy while getting everything in order for school. It is refreshing that the nursing coordinator has been really together at EVC..I'm really curious to see what my sch will be for school and how it will all flow with my personal life.. here goes nothing !!!

Oh wow well you're already ahead of the game! Good! And everyone at your school gets a grant towards their uniforms? That's awesome!
yes !! We were able to get one book for free as well. The uniform grant allowed me to get two tops and a pair of pants so ill need to get a few more for clinicals only tho , casual wear for other days!

I was so excited to "finally get started" a couple of months ago! I am really enjoying myself and I'm doing a lot more out-of-class work & studying than ever before...I don't really mind it. I'm excited to learn the material. We're halfway through the semester already!

Class of 2016 here! I am going to be attending a part-time BSN program starting in January. No words can describe how excited and nervous I am. I have always wanted to become a nurse and even went for my first degree for it. But I got discourage and scare and ended up changing my major. Now I have been working as a teacher and I can't stand it! I just prayed and asked if it was time for me to go back to school and I believe it is. It is going to be a challenge juggling my full-time job, school, and my family but I am going to make it happen! I have orientation on November 14th and will find out more about my schedule, fees, etc.

Lol yes there is an app for the iPhone lol. But I do not have any readings as of now... But yes I already went and got some supplies! Lol
