We are waiting until after finals on the 17th.....we have reservations for Red Lobster that night. I don't know if it will be a Christmas party, but it will be fun.
We usually buy the instructors each a gift at the end of each semester that is from the whole class. Each individual group usually buys a gift for the clinical instructor too.
Right now, we are all pretty much BROKE, so we will not be exchanging gifts. (possibly cards??)
SOunds like a nice treat that your class received. I hope that everyone enjoyed it!

We always meet at TGIF or ChiChi's for some well deserved liquor after class. Student Services bought us subs last week. Left them in boxes on the table. Guess someone finally felt sorry for us that we have NO food service in the nursing building (just vending machines filled with chips). Better than nothing. We aren't allowed to buy our instructors anything, but I got them all X-mas cactuses anyway.

My clinical group met for lunch after our last day of clinical. It was really nice. We also bought our clinical instructor a gift----despite the No Gift Policy. Oh well.
There has been talk about a class party, but I'm not sure if it will happen----it is kind of hard to coordinate 100 people's schedules.
Love-A-Nurse----that is really cool that the class ahead of y'all gave you a party. What a nice gesture.
geez, seniors buying lowly juniors food?? nope, don't see that happening in my future...
a bunch of people went out drinking the night of the last final. apparently there was projectile vomiting:eek:, boob flashing, and general shenanigans galore. i missed it, as i don't drink:o .
damn the luck! i'll never pass up an opportunity to watch stressed-out nursing students drink again!
