I recently applied to Clarkson College, MSN Nurse Education program. The deadline is April 1st for summer start. Has anyone applied to Clarkson and how long after the deadline did you wait to hear if you were accepted or not. In addition, how is their online program? I have never done online education and I am nervous...especially taking Applied Statistics...

I applied for a summer start too for family nurse practitioner. I'd like to know how long before you get you acceptance or rejection letter too. Let me know if you find out anything.
I received a phone call last week (they had a question about my start date) and I confirmed summer start. They said I would be hearing something on April 15th.
Thanks for the info. Would you let me know when you hear something?
Yes...and let me know if you hear anything. I wonder if the FNP track is more competitive? You may possibly hear sooner?
Will do. Which track did you apply for?

Update: Clarkson College does not have their act together. I applied to their MSN online program. I was told yesterday via email, that I could not apply to their program because they could not offer online nursing to an Oregon resident. This comes after multiple conversations and emails about the program and clinicals. ***** I had researched this school before applying they even have a contract with Oregon Board of Nursing (non-oregon school approved for clinical placements in Oregon). Feeling SUPER annoyed and disappointed.
I would call and talk to someone before giving up on it. Maybe you received the letter by accident. You should follow up just to be sure. Let me know what you find out.
Responses I received via email.
Clarkson College has aimed to offer online education in various states throughout the nation, but specific state requirements have made it cost prohibitive or unreasonable at this time. Due to recent changes within your state's guidelines, Clarkson College is no longer able to offer your program of choice to residents of your state. With this in mind, Clarkson College is now unable to accept your application for admission to our MSN program.
Unfortunately, the Board of Nursing does not have the final say in this matter but rather the laws governing online education in the state of Oregon. The Board of Nursing may approve us but the state has requirements / fees that make it difficult for colleges outside of the state to enroll students who reside in Oregon. We have certainly had students in our programs that lived in Oregon in the past. However, the law has changed to make things more difficult / costly for colleges in our situation.
Wow, that's awful. I would be really upset too. I called and specifically asked an admissions advisor if Clarkson accepts applicants from Oklahoma and she told me they did. She said there are several enrolled there now from Oklahoma. I'll have to stay on top of my email. I'm so sorry to hear this. If they can't consider you, then at the very least you should get a refund from your application.
They did say they would refund the $35. I am glad you re-checked with them about your state. I have had contact with a few graduates of the NP program and they had nothing but excellent things to say about the school and program. I wish you the very best in your journey.
I was able to apply to another program in PA...so fingers crossed, this one will work out :)
