Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Pacesetter BSN - Spring 2026

I am starting a thread for anyone applying to CIZIK for Spring 2026. How is your application coming along, what are your stats, and have you gotten any response at this time?

I will go first:

Application submitted 05/12/2025 via Ncas

GPA: 3.9 SGPA: 4.0 TEAS: 90%

Status: Application received.

Hey, thank you! I had a 3.2 bachelor's GPA from Texas state, 4.0 pre reqs from HCC, 91.86 HESI

I got a call this morning but I missed their call and I called them back multiple times after that but nobody answered. The front desk lady said they would call me back once they're available. But nobody called me back. And now I'm worried. 😭😭😭

Does anyone want me to make a GroupMe or other forum for those accepted? Or is there already one?

Yeah it's probably to tell you they will offer you a seat Summer 2026 since Spring is full.

Is anyone still waiting on their blue card? I did mine on Oct 11th and I am still waiting.  I got two emails from Identogo, I could not tell which one was for Cizik so I picked only one because I was told it would not matter since its all going to the BON.  Now I'm just confused. I have called called BON and no one comes to the phone just recorded lines and referral to their website.

I am! Why did you get 2 emails? 

When you call the BON, I think once you choose "8" for Texas, it gives you the option to talk to someone with option "7" if I'm not mistaking

It was from another school which I had gotten an admission from. But I could not tell which one was for which school so I just did only one. I ended up doing their own but I was told that it did not matter because it would be going to the BON and they would see the schools that put me on a roster. Are you calling this number [phone]?  It just keeps rerouting me to recorded messages no matter what I press.

I got my blue card about 2 weeks ago after starting the process Oct 1st. I submitted the card same day and the hold still hasn't cleared. I also got zero updates about the drug test

For those of you still waiting for admissions decisions, I received a identogo email this morning. I called and asked she said that when you apply to a school it goes to the board of nursing and they send you an email. And that they're still reviewing applications and we should hear back in an email if we got in or not.

Yess it'll be nice to keep up to date with the Cohort

I also did not get any updates about my drug test. From what I have seen the blue card has to be turned in for those two holds to be removed. Not sure why its taking time.

I would also like to join the Groupme.
