Hey everyone! I couldn't find a forum for this application cycle, so I thought I'd go ahead and start one. How is everyone preparing for the HESI? Or if you've taken it already feel free to share your stats if you're comfortable with that. Also, anybody plan on working while in the program, I would love to see y'alls opinions on that. ☺️

I have the same question! Also, I have already sent my transcripts and my Hesi scores, but it still says "initiated" on my to do list on the application. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to process this information?

Hi! HESI scores usually send out at the end of each month directly to the school. I took my exam on the 10th of February so I am on the same boat as you. I checked my to-do list a few minutes ago and it was still there so I was a little concerned. However, I just called the admissions office and they informed me that they JUST received all the test scores and hour to-do list should be updated by tomorrow or within this week!

Hello, have you gotten this question answered? Could you show me where it says that we need to submit a personal statement or resume? I applied for the Summer 2020 cohort and did not submit a personal statement since from my previous attempt one was not needed.
For initiated: do you still have course work in progress?
For the HESI: that should update at the end of the month when you took your exam. You should contact them about it in case somehow your transcript didn't automatically get to them?

Hi! No I have not gotten that question answered. I don't think we need it for the application since they didn't ask for it in the application process, but I may be wrong. Maybe they ask for it later? I don't know.
I do not have any course work in progress since I finished my prereqs last semester. And thank you! My HESI score was imputed and now they still have to process my transcripts.

School life is pretty okay. I like it. It's not overwhelming to the point where I feel like I'm behind. I mean I did feel that way my first semester until I got the hang of it and established a schedule and figured it out. The classes are hard but if you do the readings, study the tutor notes and take notes during class you'll do fine. I say all this mostly because I have no job, live with my parents, have no kids so if you got kids or have to work or other personal thing, you may not relate but there are many of my classmates who have those responsibilities and they're managing alright! The teachers are great. They help you if you reach out to them. Right now since our semester is now online bc of COVID they're doing their best to get it all together and being understanding.
Student life: Many organizations you can join. There's also many ways to get involved and help. My cohort is really nice and the same is true for the other cohorts. No one is out there giving you the wrong info or keeping you out of the loop if it could affect other students. No bullying as far as I know. Everyone likes helping their cohort and the newer cohorts. I will say that there are so cliques but they're not mean or rude in any way at all! Everyone is pretty kind. Aside from that, you can have time for yourself if you get organized. You can have time to go out with friends/family/significant others as long as you plan it out. Many students even form sport teams so they hang out and play after school certain days at the student rec center and compete with other teams from the other UT schools. Again. It's all about organization.

If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats when you applied?

Hi! I just submitted my application for the pacesetter BSN for Fall 2020. I am not really confident that my stats are competitive enough but they are:
Overall GPA: 3.82, Nursing GPA: 3.6, HESI: 89.2
For those who have not taken the HESI, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review. This has everything you need to know for the exam and this is the only study guide I used along with practice quizzes you can find online and also quizlet. I studied for a month for about a few hours almost every day and I suggest taking notes over the study guide to help absorb the information and to remember it.
